Stevens County Emergency Management conducted a multi-agency disaster response and mitigation exercise Monday, June 18, at the DENCO II ethanol plant near the Stevens County Fairgrounds.

The street near the fairgrounds and the ethanol plant was blocked to traffic during the drill which started at about 6 p.m. and included an emergency communications system test at 6:30 p.m. followed by another planned test at 7:30 p.m.

Emergency response units from throughout the county participated in the excercise.
