The Morris Area School Board approved several staff changes during the July 22 meeting. The changes were unanimously approved through the consent agenda. Board member Jennifer Goodnough was not at the July 22 meeting.
The board approved the retirement of para-educator Lorena Wilking and resignation of para-educator Mary Swenson and FACS teacher Kristi Kramlich-Kuball. The board approved hiring Kathy Granley-Claussen as the FACS teacher and Paulette Garoutte as a special education para-educator.. Dylan Viss was hired as a behind-the-wheel instructor and Jim Aekins ws hired at 3.25 hours a day as an elementary cafeteria dishwasher.
The fall coaches, advisors and directors lists for sports and activities was approved. Leah Peterson is the new head varsity volleyball coach. Peterson replaces Caleb Greene who resigned as the head coach and teacher for a dean of students position in the Minnewaska School District. Peterson had been the assistant coach at Hancock High School.
Based on the list athletic director Mark Ekren provided at the meeting, only the girls diving coach position needs to be filled.
