WEDNESDAY, JULY 24

CODING WITH K.K. will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Open to children entering grades 3-7. Professor Kristin Lamberty will help participants explore a variety of ways to make interactive stories, games and animation. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.

FAMILY FUN EVENT: COOKBOOK CLUB: A PICNIC! will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Free and open to all ages.

THURSDAY, JULY 25

STORY TIME at 10:30 a.m. at the Morris Public Library.

VFW AUXILIARY SALAD LUNCHEON will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old No. 1 Southside in Morris. The free-will donation will benefit cancer aid and research.

THE LION AND THE MOUSE will be presented by CLIMB Theatre at 3 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Actors will perform a contemporary twist on a traditional tale, emphasizing the value of kindness and fairness.

HORTICULTURE NIGHT will be held at the WCROC Gardens from 5 to 9 p.m.

THE MARCHING KNIGHTS of Irondale High School will give a public preview of the marching band season program at about 9 p.m. at Big Cat Stadium. The band has been practicing at the University of Minnesota Morris.

FRIDAY, JULY 26

FRIDAY TEEN FLICKS will be presented at 2 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. The movie will be rated PG or PG-13. Popcorn and drinks provided by the Morris Friends of the Public Library.

SATURDAY, JULY 27

YA HEROES BOOK CLUB for ages 13 and up will discuss Unlikely Heroes from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Pre-registration required. Pizza and soda provided.

TUESDAY, JULY 30

LEASH CUTTING CEREMONY at Pomme de Terre Dog Park with ceremony at 6 p.m. followed by a 6:30 p.m. 5k or 2.5 k walk/run (registration at 5:30 p.m.). A meal, face painting and pet portraits from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

LIBRARY BOOK CLUB FOR ADULTS will discuss "Educated: A Memoir" by Tara Westover from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Morris Public Library. Books are available for checking out at the library.

A FREE CONCERT BY THE BRANCHES BAND, a WELS group from Milwaukee, will perform at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (301 West 5th St., Morris). Ice cream social to follow. A free-will offering will be collected.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 31

CHALK THE WALK will be held during Crazy Days in Morris from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Morris Public Library. Face painting, bubbles, games and snacks, along with chalk for art, will be provided by the Morris Area Women of Today.

GRAPHIC NOVEL BOOK CLUB WITH ROXANE for grades 3 and up will meet from 12 to 1 p.m. Pre-registration required. Bring your lunch.
