STAMP OUT HUNGER as mail carriers in Morris will be picking up food and/or checks for the Stevens County Food Shelf on Saturday, May 11, as part of the Stamp Out Hunger campaign. Make out checks to Stevens County Food Shelf.


PILLOW CLEANING, sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary #5039, will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old No. 1 South Side in Morris. On-the-spot cleaning and new pillows will be available.


COME GROW WITH US: Dividing Perennials, led by Master Gardeners Bernie Angus and Sue Gooch, will discuss when and how to divide and how to care for newly divided plants. Participants may bring a few divided perennials to swap. This will be held from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in the Horticulture Display Garden at the West Central Research and Outreach Center, 46352 State Hwy 329, Morris. Admission free, donations appreciated. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held in AgCountry Auditorium at the WCROC.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL, in honor of Hospital Appreciation Week, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the SCMC Front Entrance.

ST. MARY'S SCHOOL SPRING CONCERT will be held at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption of Mary.


MINNEWASKA SINGLES will host a game night at 7 p.m. at the American Legion in Glenwood, 186 Hwy 55. Bring a snack to share. For more information, call 320-283-5612.


THE MORRIS COMMUNITY BAND will practice at 6:30 p.m. in the Morris Area High School Band Room (enter main elementary doors and take the first hall to the right). All musical abilities and instruments are welcome! We have musicians from 10 to 96. No pay, but lots of fun as we play in area parades and local events.
