GATHERINGS FOR WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS will meet for lunch at noon in the basement of the Old No. 1 in Morris. Order lunch off the menu and enjoy an opportunity to visit with old friends and meet new ones who are also experiencing life as a widow/widower. Monthly lunches will be held throughout 2019. MONDAY, JANUARY 14

STEVENS COUNTY CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION will meet at Morris Area High School in the Technology Room at 6:30 p.m. with a one-hour training to follow.

THROUGH THE NEEDLE'S EYE, a National EGA traveling exhibit, will open at the Stevens County Historical Society.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 15

TIGER MOVIE CLUB will be showing "Wonder" at 10 a.m in the Morris Area Elementary Concert Hall.

THE VIKING LIBRARY GOVERNING BOARD will meet at 6 p.m. in the Viking Library System Office in Fergus Falls.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16

COME GROW WITH US: Learn how to extend the growing season with the use of plastic mulch for annual vegetables and fruits at noon in the AgCountry Auditorium at the West Central Research and Outreach Center. Attendees can register to win a low tunnel system. Free admission.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 18

MORRIS AREA ROBOTICS TEAM FUNDRAISER DINNER will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion in Morris. A walking taco bar will be served, along with desserts, for a free-will offering. After the meal, there will be a brief presentation.

YOUTH SOCCER OPEN GYM will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Morris Area Elementary Gym for grades 2-6. Sessions continue every Friday through March 29.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 20

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY STEVENS COUNTY CHAPTER will hold a pancake breakfast at the American Legion from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Homemade buttermilk pancakes, sausages, and beverage for a free will donation.

SONS OF NORWAY NORSKFODT LODGE 1-590 will meet at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 200 East 5th St., Morris. Dennis Rusinko, Viking Age Club, Minneapolis, will explain clothing, tools, weapons, and art work of the period. Lunch will be served. The public is welcome.

WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA COMMUNITIES ACTION, INC. Board of Directors will meet at 6 p.m. at the WCMCA Conference Room located in the lower level at 503 Hawthorne St., Alexandria.
