Tonya Raths recently earned her enrolled agent (EA) certification. An enrolled agent is a federally licensed tax practitioner who has proven technical expertise in the field of taxation. Only EAs, attorneys, and certified public accountants (CPAs) may represent taxpayers before the IRS for audits, collections, and appeals. Raths joined Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP (CDS) in 2000 as a staff accountant. She was promoted to senior accountant in 2004. Her focus areas include tax planning and preparation, QuickBooks, payroll, bookkeeping, and preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements. Raths is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and works on-site with many of our QuickBooks clients. Raths is a member of the firm’s CDS Tax committee.

She is the treasurer for Morris Area Gymnastics Association. Raths served on the board of directors for Willmar Fests, Inc. as treasurer and parade chairwoman. She has also served as treasurer for Humane Society of Kandiyohi County, and as the treasurer for Stevens Community Humane Society. She is a past member of the Morris Prairie Pioneer Days Planning Committee. She is a 2008 graduate of the Willmar Lakes Area Leadership Perspective program and a 2010 graduate of the Leadership Stevens County program.
