There are many plants I love to include in my garden, but those with no fragrance, although eye-pleasing, always disappoint me. I always try to intersperse fragrant plants among my zinnias, rudbeckia and echinacea, so that my arrangements are a mixture of colors, textures and fragrances.

On Monday, the Morris Area School Board voted 7-1 to approve the 2013-2014 parent-student handbook, which included a ban on head apparel as part of the dress code. As you might have already read , I went to that board meeting as a parent to object to this change.
MORRIS, Minn. -- Construction of the Green Prairie Living and Learning Community at the University of Minnesota, Morris remains on schedule. Construction site supervisor Rick Lock said this week that the recent storms have had no impact on the construction schedule and everything is right on track for students to move in by mid-August. Lock said that’s remarkable, given the number of subcontractors and tradesmen who are working on the project.
MORRIS, Minn. Dancers were once again the top act in the weekly Kiwanis Talent Show, held Thursday, June 22 at East Side Park in Morris. Brienna Dybdahl and Shannon Dougherty took first place for the third weekly competition. They won $50 and the right to compete in the finals on July 12. Yasha Hoffman placed second with a piano performance. He won $25 and will compete in the finals. The dancing duet of Calista Kill and LaRae Kram placed third, to win the right to move on to the finals. The final weekly competition will be held June 27. Reg
