Willmar currently is leading the conference with four victories and one tie. The Tigers have four victories and one defeat. A Willmar victory or a tie game will give the Cardinals the title. Only a Tiger victory will bring the championship to Morris.

The Splitstoser business was originally established in Morris in October, 1896 by Fred Splitstoser, father of Art Splitstoser, present proprietor. The present owner has been connected with the business for more than 30 years.

A salesman for Famous Brands, Inc., Mr. Abel's name was drawn from among names of 19 Minnesota salesmen for the company who qualified for the drawing.
60 Years Ago Items taken from the Sun of August 28, 1956 Bob Collins won the 1956 championship of the Pomme de Terre Golf club in the club's annual tournament. Collins won the title with a three-under-par 33 in the medal play championship round with Connie Freeman and Doug Garberick after ousting Bill Watzke and Walt Sarlette in earlier match play rounds. Freeman, last year's club champion, battled Collins right down to the wire for the title.

Inductees are Paul Brandt, Steve Berglund, Barry King, Jr., Milton Berglund, Institutional representative; Carter Leuty, Walter Erickson, assistant scoutmaster; Dick Munson, Stanley Fisher and S. A. Munson, scoutmaster. The Order of the Arrow is a brotherhood of Scout Honor Campers dedicated to furthering an interest in scout camping and service.
