ST. PAUL – A requirement that Minnesota boaters receive training and place decals on their trailers is being postponed while legislators consider changing the program, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources announced Wednesday. A law passed in 2012 requires people pulling trailers containing boats, docks and other water-related equipment obtain training about how to prevent the movement of aquatic invasive species. When the training was completed, the driver would receive a trailer decal.
