A note from Principal Craig Peterson One of our core values at Morris Area is that “Every Student Can Learn.” Student growth, student learning and student achievement are goals for each student as they pass through our hallways at Morris Area High School.
Our theme this year at the high school is “Taking the Next Step.” We as a high school want our students to take the next step in their growth as students. Ideas and philosophies will change, but our core value of student achievement and student growth remains our number one priority. I feel that we at Morris Area High School have great programs, great facilities and great students.
Summer is coming soon and we at the high school are excited for the 4th quarter of academics. As we wind down the 2012-13 school year, there are many items of business that we have to accomplish at MAHS. State testing is underway and our students and staff have welcomed the challenge of state testing. Many of our state tests at MAHS are on the computer. Students take tests to gauge their growth and ability in writing (grade 9), reading (grades 7, 8 and 10), math (grades 7, 8 and 11) and science (grades 8 and 10).
