Welcome to another edition of the Donnelly News. It is still hot and dry around here, however most of the crops and garden produce I saw at the fairs in Clinton and Herman sure looked good. Upcoming summer service dates for St. John's and Kongsvinger are: July 26 and 30 at Kongsvinger, Aug. 6 at St. John's. The bookmobile will be in town on Main St. from 3:30-3:45 p.m on July 31. The Donnelly City Council will meet at 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 in the council chambers in the Donnelly Hall. The Rendsville 4-H club meets at at 7 p.m. on Aug. 7 at St. John's.

It was very dry down there and crops do not look so good. Upcoming summer service dates for St. Johnn's and Kongsvinger are: July 12 and 16 at Kongsvinger, and July 23 at St John's. The Kongsvinger Krusaders will participate in the Relay for Life from 5 p.m. to midnight on July 21 at Pomme de Terre Park in Morris

Crops continue to look very good; most corn should be "knee high by the 4th." Farmers are busy spraying and putting up hay. As I am out and about a lot of people tell me how much they enjoy it Weather news: Well after surviving the deep freeze, we enjoyed fairly mild temps last week. Sunday brought some freezing rain forcing some churches in the area to cancel services.
Welcome to the Donnelly news. Weather news: after a cold start to the weekend on Friday; Saturday and Sunday were very nice, as I am writing this on Tuesday evening it has rained most of the day. Most of the corn is picked, many fields have also been worked, a farmer friend told me his corn yielded about 180 bushels an acre this year. St. John's Kongsvinger news: Oct. 30 is confirmation Sunday at Kongsvinger at 11 a.m. followed by a confirmation reception by the Kongsvinger Thrivent group. We have two Confirmands this year
Welcome to the Donnelly News. Correction: The Morris Area School Board will not be meeting in Donnelly this school year. Cooler days and nights are a reminder that is fall. Most farmers in the area are done with beans. Some corn is being harvested, but it needs to dry out more before too much more can be done. In St. John's/Kongsvinger news: St. John's fall fest is today (Saturday) from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. From Good Shepherd Lutheran Church: New member Sunday is Oct. 30. Welcome to the latest edition of the Donnelly news. Except for a cool, rainy day on Tuesday, it has been fairly pleasant and mild this past week. It looks like most farmers have their beans out, and some corn harvest has started but it's a little too wet yet to do much. In St. John's/Kongsvinger news: Installation of Sunday school teachers will take place on Oct. 9 at both services. St. John's Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct.15 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
