Researchers at the West Central Research and Outreach Center are experimenting with a low-tunnel growing system that can extend the strawberry season in the area. Until the first hard frost, volunteers will be out in the field picking strawberries every Monday and Thursday morning.

West Central Research and Outreach Center Renewable Energy Director Mike Reese speaks during a dedication for the Renewable Hydrogen and Ammonia Pilot Plant on Thursday, July 11. During the dedication, Reese recognized Jack Gust of the Toro Company (right) for Toro’s donation of two hydrogen-powered utility vehicles.
