Volleyball: Tigers lose second conference game

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta volleyball team dropped its second West Central Conference game Thursday, Sept. 13, at Melrose. The Tigers pushed the Dutchmen to four tough games, but it was Melrose that won the match 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22.

Lexi Pew had 16 kills and Kenzie Hockel had nine. LaRae Kram finished with 19 set assists and Liz Dietz had 13 assists.

Riley Decker and Bailey Marty both had 20-plus digs on the night. Jen Solvie had three blocks.

The Tigers now have three losses, all to conference teams, but one loss was in tournament play, which doesn't count towards the conference record. MACA will next play Sauk Centre Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Morris. The Mainstreeters lone loss through 13 games is a 3-2 loss to BOLD back on Aug. 30.
