Tigers drop double header to Mainstreeters

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta dropped a pair of softball games Friday in a double header at Sauk Centre.

Sauk Centre 4, Morris/C-A 3

The Tigers fell to the Mainstreeters 4-3 in the first game of two six-inning games.

Chelsey Ehleringer and Becca Holland scored in the first inning to give the Tigers an early 2-0 lead.

A four-run third inning pushed Sauk Centre in front.

Tiger Brooke Johnson scored in the bottom half of the third for the Tigers, but it was not enough.

Ehleringer supplied two of the Tigers’ seven hits.

Sauk Centre broke up a 1-1 tie with four runs in the third inning for an 8-2 victory in game two.

The Mainstreeters added two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.

Ehleringer in the first and Abbie Olson in the fourth scored the lone runs for the Tigers.
