Tigers make it 6-0 with five-inning win over Monte

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta improved to 6-0 with a five-inning victory over Montevideo at Chizek Field Friday.

The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on the way to an 11-1 win over the Thunder Hawks.

Mac Beyer threw a six-hitter for the win and plugged in a two-run homer in the first inning.

Tanner Picht drove in three runs with a pair of hits.

A bases-loaded walk in the fourth produced Monte’s lone counter. Zac Enevoldsen and Ricky Schmitz each provided two hits for the Hawks.
