The Morris/C-A Tiger boys claimed third place at the Benson Invitational on Wednesday, May 10 at the Benson Golf Club in Benson. Jacob Zosel paced the Tigers with a 71 to claim first place medalist honors.

“Jake played really well in a tough, competitive group, one under [par] is a great score at Benson as he gets ready for the section playoff push,” head coach Joey Fragodt said. “I was also really happy with our 334 team score, especially considering we were missing our normal number two golfer Briar Peterson.”

The Tiger boys are at Little Crow Golf Course in New London-Spicer for a non-conference invitational on Friday, May 12 and then are scheduled to close out the West Central Conference schedule at Benson and Montevideo on Thursday, May 18. The boys tee off at 12 p.m. in Benson and 4 p.m. in Montevideo.

The Section 3AA tournament begins Thursday, May 25 at Oakdale Golf Course in Buffalo Lake.
