Tigers defeat Thunder Hawks on the road

Morris Area tied the game twice, but took control with four runs in the seventh inning to defeat Montevideo 10-8 on the road Thursday.

The Tigers avenged a 5-3 loss to the Thunder Hawks on May 3 in West Central Conference South baseball.

Matt Lembcke pitched four and two third innings, giving up seven runs, three earned, on eight hits but no walks. Ethan Bruer came in to pitch the final two and one third innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and three walks.

Tyler Hansen, Mitch Carbert, and Brady Valnes had two hits apiece. The other Tiger hits belonged to Ryan Beyer, Eric Riley, Mitch Kill, and Travis Rinkenberger, all with one hit each.
