Tigers keep unblemished record

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta kept an unblemished record with a 67-47 victory over section opponent West Central Area Saturday in Barrett.

The 8-0 Tigers play two West Central Conference South games this week, traveling to BOLD Tuesday and hosting Yellow Medicine East Friday.

The Tigers have moved up to the No. 3 spot in Class AA as ranked by Minnesota Basketball News. The top ranked team is Crosby-Ironton and New London-Spicer is No. 2.

Against the Knights, Cory Hennen scored 17 points, had seven steals, and six assists to lead the Tigers' balanced attack. Lincoln Arnold added 12 points and six rebounds. Corey Nohl and Alex Erickson followed with nine points apiece.

Sam Richards posted a double-double of 22 points and 14 boards for West Central.
