Tigers sweep Lakers in first road win

The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tigers found their first W of the season on the road on Tuesday, Sept. 2 with a sweep over the Minnewaska Area Lakers. With the win, the Tigers improve to 1-2 and look to continue the momentum into their next match on Thursday against Paynesville.

Kayla Pring was 7-for-8 serving with three service aces. Lacee Maanum added two.

Maanum and Brooke Gillespie led the team in kills with 10 each. Pring finished with nine. Karly Fehr had 24 assists in the match.

Haley Erdahl led the the Tigers in digs with 10, followed by Gillespie and Lindsey Dierks who finished with nine and eight, respectively.

The Tigers are set to host Paynesville on Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Morris Area Elementary School gymnasium with the varsity game beginning at approximately 7 p.m.
