Tigers fall to host Marshall

Marshall 4, Morris/C-A 1

Nicole Strobel doubled and added two singles, going 3-for-3 in the 4-1 loss to the Marshall Tigers on Monday afternoon. Kayla Pring knocked in Morris/Chokio-Alberta’s lone run, touching all the bases with her solo home run in the third inning, her second homer of the year.

Becca Holland also added two singles for MA/C-A.

Brooke Gillespie took the loss for the Tigers, allowing six hits in five innings pitched and striking out two.

All five scored runs were earned as both teams played an errorless ballgame.

The Tigers next travel to Sauk Centre for a conference battle against the top team in the conference on Tuesday, May 6. The Mainstreeters are thus far undefeated with a 7-0 record in the West Central Conference. The Tigers hope to end that streak in their contest with the Streeters this afternoon.
