Tigers double Wildcat runs to win

Morris/Chokio-Alberta 8, NL-Spicer 4

Junior Noah Grove pitched a seven-hitter with 12 strikeouts and the Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tigers won a non-conference meeting against New London-Spicer in Spicer on Monday night. Grove kept the Wildcats off balance, mixing a curve with his fastball.

Nate Anderson, Corey Storck and Brady Jergenson supplied two hits apiece for the Tigers in the 8-4 win.

Both teams ended up with seven hits. Trey Austvold had two singles and Eben Pedersen a double for NL-S, which fell behind 5-0 through three innings of play.

MA/C-A will next play host to Sauk Centre on Tuesday, May 6 at Chizek Field. The first pitch at 5 p.m.
