Connor Winkelman pitched a strong game for the Marshall Tigers, allowing just five hits and striking out nine Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tigers in non-conference play on Friday, May 2.

Unlike the score seems, Morris had plenty of chances to score, stranding eight runners on base, falling short and losing to the Marshall Tigers 5-0.

Bryce Jergenson had two of the Tigers’ hits and worked a strong game on the mound, taking the loss despite allowing just three hits and striking out four in six innings.

Corey Storck hit a ground rule double and Nate Anderson and Noah Grove combined for the rest of the Tigers five hits.
