Tigers capitalize on errors to win

The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta softball team gained its second win of the season over Minneota on Friday, April 11 to start out the season 2-1.

MA/C-A didn’t need to generate much offense, thanks to eight Minneota walks in the non-conference game against the Vikings on Friday evening.

Nicole Strobel, Brianna Abril and Megan Gillespie had the Tigers’ hits and Lacee Maanum picked up the win in relief, pitching four innings and allowing just one hit while striking out four.

Next game for the Tigers is against the Braves on Tuesday, April 15. The game is in Benson at 5 p.m.
