Tiger gymnasts fall to Benson

The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta gymnasts took a loss to Benson / Kerkoven-Murdock-Sunburg in Morris on Friday, Jan. 31. The Benson meet marked the last meet of the regular season for the Tigers before the section meet in Litchfield on Saturday, Feb. 15.

The meet consisted of 11 new personal best scores set with three personal best scores tied, and two new season high event scores set.

Varsity Results

Benson edged out the varsity win 125.025-121.3 – a close meet that could have easily gone either way says coach Oberg.

Savannah Aanerud took first on the bars and floor and first all-around with a tie for third on the vault and fourth place on the beam.

Kendra Jergenson took first on the beam and fourth on the floor, good enough for fourth all around competition.

Senior captain Kendra Buro placed third on the bars for the Tigers.

Junior Varsity results

Benson overcame the Tiger gymnasts in JV as well 110.85-85.65.

Victoria Tiernan stuck her beam routine, good for a third place finish.

Katie Giese took third in all around competition.

Katie Cannon received fourth on the beam, and Noel Schieler took fourth on the floor.

Diana Nelson tied for fourth on the vault.
