Tiger gymnasts set new season highs in Milbank

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta gymnasts travels to Milbank for a two-day invite. The junior varsity meet was Friday, Dec. 20, and the varsity meet was held on Saturday, Dec. 21.

On Friday, the Tigers jv finished third out of five teams with a new season high score of 92.35.

Noel Schieler placed first on the bars, and fifth on the vault in the jv meet.

Katie Cannon placed third on the beam.

The jv Tigers had 14 personal best scores in Milbank, including four season high event totals.

On Saturday, the varsity took to the floor, finishing sixth out of nine teams with a new season high score of 114.6.

Kendra Jergenson “stuck” her performance on the beam, good for fifth. That marked Jergensons second “stuck” beam routine of the season.

Savannah Aanerud placed seventh on the bars and tied for eighth on the beam. Aanerud stuck her beam routine as well for the first time this season.

The Tiger varsity gymnasts have nine personal best scores, one personal best score tie, and three season high event totals.

The next meet for the Tigers is Friday, January 3 when they travel to Fergus Falls.
