Litchfield edge the Tigers in OT

A barn burner against the Litchfield Dragons and the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers resulted in an overtime victory for the visiting Dragons. Pictured crashing the boards are Tigers Lacee Maanum (42), Nicole Strobel (40), and Liz Tiernan (24).

Litchfield took the lead with seven seconds left in overtime to edge Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta 50-48 on Thursday, Dec 19.

The Tigers’ Beth Holland tied the game at 44 at the end of regulation. It went back and forth in OT before the Dragons took the lead for good and the Tigers missed a three as time expired.

Litchfield center Hannah Norlin scored a game-high 22 points, and Macy Huhner had nine.

Lauren Reimers led the Tigers with 14 points and six assists, and Abbie Olson had seven points and seven rebounds.

The Tigers host Paynesville today, Friday, Dec. 20.
