The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta fell in their home opener Thursday, Dec. 5 to the Silverstreaks of Osakis 59-34.
The Tigers seemed very anxious on the court and tried pushing the intensity and speed of the game. In turn, mistakes were made. Along with a handful of turnovers, the Tigers just weren’t executing, shooting just 27 percent from the field in the Osakis loss.
The second half was a little better, the Tigers seemed to calm down a bit, but it wasn’t enough as Osakis kept control, taking the victory 59-34.
Johanna Boogaard and Annalise Savageau led the Silverstreaks in the win scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively.
For the Tigers, Lauren Reimers finished with nine points and had three steals in the losing effort.
Becca Holland added eight points and five rebounds.
