Storm girls win seventh straight game

Dani Schultz scored a hat trick in the first period to help Morris Benson Area shut out the Tigers 8-0 in Southwest Conference girls' hockey Thursday in Marshall.

Morris Benson Area improves to 6-0 in the conference and 16-2 overall. It was the Storm's seventh straight win.

Marshall falls to 5-3 in the conference and 8-11 overall.

Sam Falk also scored to give the Storm a 4-0 advantage going into the second period.

Schultz added another goal in the second period and Sara Rajewsky netted two goals.

Kelly Mahoney scored the only goal of the third period.

Rajewsky, Mahoney, Brooke Anderson, and Monica Lindblad were credited with two assists apiece. Moriah Hovde had one assist.

Brooke Falk made 17 saves en route to posting her eighth shutout of the season.
