Timmerman leads shooters in week three
Hancock trap shooters fell to third in Class A - Conference 6 after a season low 442 total points in week three. Tyler Timmerman led the trap team with a 45 this past week, which was top in the conference.
"We had a shortage of shooters this past week due to the senior class trip and baseball on Saturday, so we dropped a spot in our standings," head coach Bruce Malo said. "We only had 10 shooters and we needed all 10 of the scores. We did, however, have five shooters with a score of 40 or more."
Despite the drop in the standings, Hancock is still seeing success on the individual level. Taylor Zeltwanger remains in second place in the conference with a 21.33 season average. He shot a 41 this week along with Andrew Nelson, Jordan Peterson and newcomer Jacob Koehl.
Peterson, Ben Koehl, and Timmerman are present on the Top 25 male members in the conference. Peterson sits in the top 10 with an average of 20.83 targets hit.
Week four of competition ends Saturday, May 20 and the final week of competition starts Sunday, May 21.
