Ashby scored early and held on to defeat Hancock 5-3 on Thursday, May 11 in Chokio. The difference in the game was that the Owls left 17 runners stranded on base. Ashby also outhit Hancock 11-5.

Zach Flaten had the lone RBI for Hancock, knocking in Daniel Milander in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Hancock participates in the Canby tournament on Saturday, May 13 before playing host to West Central Area on Monday, May 15.
