UMM sets plenty PRs

The University of Minnesota, Morris, track and field participated in the Bison Open, which was held in Fargo, ND this past Saturday, Feb. 15. Full results
Chalmer Combellick set another school record, this time by five seconds, in the one mile run and winning a race that was full of Division I and II runners. He finished with a time of 4:15.45, which also broke the facility record.
Alicia Doerr was the second best Division III finisher in the 60m dash, crossing the line in a time of 8.49, setting her new PR. Her teammate Claire Sylvestre was just behind her with a time of 8.56. Anna Peterson was the second best D3 runner in the 200m with a time of 28.21. Sydney Paulson finished close behind Peterson with a time of 28.32, a personal best.
Peterson was also impressive in the 400m finishing with a time of 1:04.27 which was the fastest time for any D3 runner at the meet. Justine Wolf and Paulson also had excellent 400 times on Saturday for the Cougars.
Linda Keller was seventh in the one mile run beating out several Division I and II runners with a time of 5:13.34. Hannah Goemann and Laura Borkenhagen finished 15th and 17th in the same race, setting new PR's along the way. Melissa Denler took 12th in the 60m hurdle finals completing the race in a time of 10.81, the best time for any D3 runner.
Jennifer LaRoque was 14th in the high jump on Saturday with a mark of 1.53m. Sylvestre PR'd in both the 60m and 200m on the day. Wolf, who was in her first meet of the year, PR'd in both the 200m and 400m. Amber Hosie had personal best weight throw with a distance of 12.94m.
Tony Cerroll was 18th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.33. His teammates Leandro Dower and Nicolas Solberg finished 22nd and 23rd respectively. Dower also ran well in the 200m finishing ninth, posting a time of 22.83 a new school record. Eli Chapple PR'd in the 200, dropping his time by .5 seconds. Josh Lozancich ran the 800m in a time of 2:00.69 which was good enough for a 12th place finish and sixth best time in school history.
Anthony White took 11th in the 1000m run, finishing the second heat in a time of 2:54.16, which is fifth all-time in school history. In the 60m hurdles Nathan Harder took tenth, six places better than teammate Ryan DeRoeck, both had qualified for the final in the race. Harder set a new PR in the 60m final.
Next weekend the Cougars head to Duluth for the UMAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 22.
