Basketball: MACCRAY edges Hancock girls

MACCRAY won a close defensive battle over Hancock 33-29 Monday, Feb. 5 in Clara City. A game that saw Hancock up by eight at halftime, but also featured single-digit scoring in the second half as Hancock scored just nine points to fall to 10-7 on the season. MACCRAY improved to 12-10 with the win.

Sydney Schwitters led the Wolverines with 10 points, tied with Hancock's Ashlyn Mattson for the game lead.

The Owls next play at Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Thursday, Feb. 8.
