Baseball: Two earn all-conference honor for Owls
Zach Flaten and Peyton Rohloff were the two Hancock Owl baseball players to earn all-conference recognition by the Pheasant Conference announced Monday, June 11.
Flaten, the lone senior on the team this season, finished his prep career batting a .289 in 2018. He had 11 hits and nine runs scored this season.
Rohloff was one of the mainstays on the mound for the Owls this season with three wins. Out of five pitchers that pitched 10-plus innings, he had the lowest ERA with 3.36 over 25 innings pitched. Not only did Rohloff to work on the bump, he also contributed offensively as well. His 12 hits was most on the team along with Daniel Milander, and his 10 RBI was also tied for most on the team with Tanner Pahl. Rohloff finished the season with a .279 batting average.
Pahl and Montana Molden were named honorable mention as the Owls finished fifth in the conference this season with a 6-6 conference record.
