Cougar women win 12th straight

The University of Minnesota, Morris women’s basketball team won its 12 straight game Tuesday, defeating Presentation 78-50 at home.

Emily Mehr's 25 points and eight rebounds helped the Cougars pull away from the Saints in the second half.

The Cougars shot 45.2 percent from the field.

Abby Fragodt had nine rebounds, eight points and five blocks as she continues to find multiple ways to contribute during the Cougars’ winning streak.

Emily Auch had 10 points off the bench and the UMM bench outscored the Saints' bench 26-6. 

The Cougars will host Northland and St. Scholastica this weekend at the P.E. Center. Northland comes to town on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. and St. Scholastica will be in town Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Minnesota Morris can clinch at least a share of the UMAC Conference Title this weekend with wins over both the LumberJills and the Saints
