Owls just two points away from first win

The Hancock football team came out ready to play last Friday against Brandon-Evansville and the team was able to move the ball effectively through the air. However, they struggled with some of their power running game. They ended up losing by just two points, 28-30.

"For the most part the Owls played a bend but don't break style of defense" said Coach Chad Christianson. "Overall I thought that we played pretty well defensively. We had a 28-6 lead with 28 seconds to go in the first half when they were able to find Carlson in the back of the end zone. We had him surrounded but just were not able to make the play. I felt we were in pretty good position all night but just could not make the stop when we needed too.

"I told our guys that we are just eight points away from being 3-1. Our record may not look the best but we are right there."
