Tigers kick off football season with 34-7 victory

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta kicked off the football season with a 34-7 win over Minnewaska Area Friday night at Big Cat Stadium.

After taking a one-point deficit into halftime, the Tigers came back from the break to dominate the Lakers.

Tom Holland ran in two touchdowns in the third quarter, the first from 13 yards out and the second from 11.

Jordan Staples added another TD on a three-yard run early in the fourth quarter.

Bryce Jergenson put the game away on a one-yard QB sneak.

Lincoln Berget scored the Tigers' first touchdown on a pass from Jacob Torgerson at seven and goal.
