Softball: Tigers close out regular season with win

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta wrapped up the regular softball season with a 4-1 victory at New London-Spicer Thursday. With the win the Tigers improved to 14-3 overall.

The Tigers scored one run in the second and third innings, and two in the seventh, before the Wildcats got one across home plate in the bottom of the seventh.

"We only had four hits on the day, but took advantage of Wildcat errors," explained coach Mary Holmberg.

McKenzie Van Batavia gave up seven hits, walked two, and struck out seven.
