Softball: Tigers win 11-1

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta softball team improved to 11-1 overall with an 11-1 win over Lac qui Parle Valley Tuesday at home.

A bunt single laid down by Megan Mecklenburg scored Holly Amundson and pinch runner Chelsey Ehleringer with the 10th and 11th runs, invoking the 10-run rule with one out in the sixth inning.

McKenzie VanBatavia pitched all six innings to earn the win, giving up three hits and three walks while striking out six.

The Eagles got their lone run in the third when Mackenzie Clark walked and later scored on Tara Laechelt's sacrifice fly.
