Tigers improve to 3-0 with win over Eagles

McKenzie Van Batavia and the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta softball team improved to 3-0 with a 17-1 victory at Lac qui Parle Valley Tuesday.

Van Batavia struck out 11 while issuing five walks and allowing three hits.

The Tigers started out on top, scoring one run in the first and took control with six runs in the second. They went on to add a single run in the third, four in the fourth, and five more in the fifth.

The Eagles got one run in the fifth, but not enough to stop the 10-run rule.

Olivia Reimers had three hits for the Tigers, while Van Batavia, Steph Hennen, and Tracy Meichsner had two apiece.
