Every player scores in Cougar win at Trinity Bible
Every player found the basket as the University of Minnesota, Morris women's basketball team scored an impressive 82-35 win over Trinity Bible in nonconference action on Jan. 24.
Emily Mehr was her usual dominant self, leading the way with 18 points, while freshmen Allie Sannes and Kendra Wycoff each came off the bench to hit double figures adding 11 points each.
Conversely, Trinity Bible had just four players finish in the scoring column, with just two in double figures.
The sixth-leading scorer in the conference, Mehr hit double figures for the 12th time this season, including the last five games where she has scored at least 15.
The Cougars shot nearly 50 percent (33-of-68) from the field, while tying a season high with 50 rebounds.
From behind the arc, they shot 33 percent (7-of-21), led by Wycoff who connected three times from long range, hitting at least three for the sixth time this season. The team leader in the category, she now has 35 on the season, with over half of her field goals coming from three-point range.
Abby Fragodt with nine, and Kelsey Erickson with eight, each also finished among the scoring leaders, while Erickson continued her recent tear on the boards, pulling down a game-high eight to lead the team for the third straight game
