Storm boys defeat Worthington 8-4

Tanner Picht recorded his 100th point when Morris Benson Area defeated visiting Worthington 8-4 Saturday at the Lee Community Center in Southwest Conference action.

The Storm were down 2-0 in the first period when Darion Helberg put them on the board. A short time later, Picht tied it up. Once Kelly Engquist got the lead later in the first, the Storm never looked back.

The Storm added three goals in the second, one from Luke Schwarz, another from Picht, and one from Jordan Staples. Worthington scored one goal.

The Storm added two more in the third period while holding the Trojans to one short-handed goal. Schwarz recorded his second of the game and Tanner Mikkelson had his first varsity goal in the final two minutes.
