Tigers host wrestling, gymnastics, swimming tonight; Storm boys in Morris as well

Morris will be busy tonight with several high school sporting events including a wrestling triangular, swim meet, gymnastics meet, and hockey game.


The Morris Area/Hancock/Chokio-Alberta wrestlers will host Montevideo and Wabasso/Red Rock Central tonight.

Starting at 5:00 the Tigers will dual with West Central Conference South rival Montevideo. Then the ThunderHawks will wrestle Wabasso/Red Rock Central around 6:30. Finally, the Tigers will take on the Class A No. 4 ranked Bobcats.

Tiger seniors Tim Ostby and Zach Gibson will be working to improve their state Class AA individual rankings. As of the Jan. 13 listing by The Guillotine, Gibson is ranked No. 7 at 285 pounds and Tim Ostby is No. 6 at 152.


The gymnastics team hosts Melrose Area at 6:00. The Dutchmen are ranked No. 1 in Class A.


The Tiger swimming and diving team also hosts Montevideo at the RFC beginning at 6:00.


The Storm boys host Southwest Conference rival Marshall at the Lee Community Center with the JV game starting at 5:00.
