Hancock girls upset Parkers Prairie

Hancock built a huge halftime lead and never looked back en route to upsetting Class A No. 6-ranked Parkers Prairie 62-40 in a non-conference girls' basketball game on Thursday.

Kendra Schmidgall scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the unranked Owls to thier 22nd victory. Courtney Greiner followed with 14 points and eight rebounds. Illissa Koehl tallied 13 points, including three three-pointers, and Aria Walstad dished out 15 assists to go along with her seven points and three steals.

Tamara Schmidt scored 16 points and Kaylee Dorn had 11 points for Parkers Prairie, who fell to 21-3 with the loss.
