Hanock girls suffer second loss of season
The Hancock girls were handed their second loss of the season 57-39 by Canby on Friday.
Canby amplified a two-point halftime lead with an 8-0 run to start the second half.
Illissa Koehl drained four treys and had 17 points and Kendra Schmidgall had 13 to lead the Owls, who made just 6-of-26 shots in the second half and posted the same numbers on three-point attempts.
Schmidgall led on the boards with nine, while Courtney Greiner grabbed seven rebounds.
Riley Nordgaard, despite foul trouble, finished with 19 points to lead the Lancers. Kiley Mercer put up 13 points and Ricki Kallhoff had 12.
With the win, Canby improved to 18-3.
