Hancock girls remain undefeated with win over MACCRAY

On Monday, the Lady Owls defeated the Maccray Wolverines on the home court by a score of 58-36. The Owls led 30-15 at halftime.

As a team the Owls shot an impressive 20/35 (57%) which includes 8/12 (67%) from beyond the arc. They also shot 10/13 (77%)from the free-throw line.

Hancock had two starters get into foul trouble in the first half and Abby Ascheman and Shae Brown came into the game and played some excellent basketball.

"This was a very nice win for us over a quality Maccray team that just knocked off the no. 3 ranked Buffalo-Lake-Hector last Friday. We have been working very hard on our presses the past couple days and it really showed out on the court. This was a total team effort by all of the girls". said Coach Jodi Holleman. "We also outrebounded the Wolverines 20-19 which is excellent considering they have three players 6 feet tall."
