UMM's Linda Keller repeats as UMAC Champion

The University of Minnesota, Morris' Linda Keller repeated as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference's (UMAC) women's individual cross country champion, headlining a group of 12 student-athletes to earn all-conference accolades. Keller bested the competition at Chequamegon Bay Golf Club in Ashland, Wis. with a 6k time of 23:16.

Keller was followed by a pair of women from the College of St. Scholastica in Jessie Lovering and Melissa Kempenich, who took second and third in the race, boasting times of 23:51 and 24:04. Other student-athletes to make the 12-person UMAC All-Conference list included North Central University's Catherine Mead, Michelle Hebbell and Kara Montanez, St. Scholastica's Kristen Gronbeck, Bre Adams, Haley Hasleiet, Emily Dunning, Minnesota-Morris' Julie Bonham, and Northland College's Alissa Stutte.

St. Scholastica claimed the team competition for the 10th consecutive season with a team score of 27 points. The Saints' top five runners were all amongst the race's 10 best finishers. 

Minnesota-Morris took second in the meet with 69 points, followed by North Central, who finished third with 79 points. Northwestern College (129 points) and Northland College (131) rounded out the race's top five teams.  Following his team's performance, St. Scholastica head coach Steve Pfingsten earned UMAC Coach of the Year honors.
