Foss named Co-MVP for Pheasant Conference and to All-Area First Team
Hancock boys basketball senior Brendon Foss was selected as one of the Pheasant Conference MVPs for the 2009-2010 season. Zach McNally of Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley shares the honor with Brendon. Honorable mention honors went to Cory Schroeder of Hancock.
Brendon was also named to 2010 West Central Tribune Boys Basketball All-Area Team. Brendon was one of the five area athletes selected to the First Team which also included Shaun Condon of MACCRAY, Erik Tengwall of New London-Spicer, Taylor Filipek of Willmar and Matt Anderson of Dawson-Boyd.
The Tribune stated: "Foss led the area in receptions this fall in football when he was an All-Area choice, then led the area in scoring this winter in basketball. Despite being double-teamed in most games, the nimble guard averaged 24.8 points per game as the Owls finished 13-10. He shot 49 percent from the field, while also draining 57 3-pointers. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.3 steals per game. For his career, Foss notched 1,151 points."
