Alexandria Aces in Washington, D.C.
The Alexandria Aces are touring the Capitol in Washington, D.C. today, Monday, thanks to Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.
The Aces, a local basketball performance team, also received a personal invitation to the White House for tomorrow.
Tuesday night, the local squad will perform at halftime of the Maryland/Miami basketball game, then will have breakfast with Senator Al Franken on Wednesday.
Wednesday night, the Aces will perform in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Virginia/Virginia Tech men's game, then will add a performance Thursday night at halftime of the Virginia/North Carolina State women's game.
On their trip home, they will stop in Akron, Ohio for a performance at LeBron James' high school.
The Aces, comprised of boys and girls ages 5-12, are in their 20th year of existence. They are one of the top halftime acts for college and professional basketball events and feature dribbling, juggling and spinning feats.
The team performed last weekend for both the Tennessee men's and women's basketball game halftimes before crowds totaling more than 20,000.
