Tigers still seek first win

Senior Lacee Maanum goes up for a kill last Friday, Aug. 29 in Morris. Maanum led the Tigers with six kills in the 3-0 loss to Melrose.

The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tiger volleyball team pressed Melrose in two games, but couldn’t catch the Lady Dutchmen as Melrose came away with the 3-0 sweep. The Tigers fell 25-22, 25-15 and 25-22 last Friday, Aug. 29 in Morris and still look for their first win of the season.

Lacee Maanum and Brooke Gillespie both had six kills for the Tigers.

The Tigers travel to Glenwood tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 2) to play Minnewaska then host the Paynesville Bulldogs on Thursday, Sept. 4. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
