Six Cougars named All-UMAC

After winning their fifth straight UMAC Title, the Cougars had six players honored by the UMAC for their efforts this year. For the fourth time in the last five years, the Cougars had the UMAC Freshman of the Year.

Kendra Wycoff was named to the UMAC First Team. Abby Fragodt was named to the UMAC Second Team and the All-Defensive Team. Tori Holt was named the Freshman of the Year and UMAC Honorable Mention. Emily Auch was also a UMAC Honorable Mention performer. Cori Becker was named to the All-Defensive Team. Also, Kayla Kraemer was the Cougars representative on the UMAC Sportsmanship Team.

Wycoff, who was a UMAC First Team performer in 2012-13, finds herself on the First Team this year. She averaged 13.3 points per game this season and 15.3 points in conference play. She was third in the league in scoring in conference games. She was fifth in the league in made three pointers during the UMAC season. She scored 360 points this season, which ranks ninth in school history.

Fragodt, who ranks in the top fifty in the nation in both rebounding and blocked shots, finds herself on both the Second Team and All-Defensive Team. She averaged 10.8 rebounds per game, which is 44th in the nation and second in the UMAC. She grabbed 12.6 rebounds per game during the UMAC season. She led the league with 3.6 blocks per game in the UMAC. She averaged 2.81 blocks per contest throughout the season, which ranks 21st in the country. Fragodt set a school record with 292 rebounds this season, surpassing her record from last year. Her 70 assists, are just shy of making the top ten list in school history. She finishes her career with 200 blocks, which is more than double anyone else in school history since 2001.

Holt ranked in the top fifteen in both scoring and rebounding during the UMAC season, which propelled to her win the UMAC Freshmen of the Year. She joins a list that of Cougars that includes; Emily Mehr, Wycoff and Kraemer that has won the UMAC Freshmen of the Year since the 2009-10 season. During UMAC play Holt averaged 10.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. She had four double-doubles during conference play.

Auch emerged this year as a major threat for the Cougars by shooting over 50% on the year. Her 56.8% field goal percentage ranks fifth for a single season record. She ranked fourth in the UMAC in rebounding and seventh in scoring. Last season she averaged 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in conference play. This season she averaged over 14 points and grabbed 8.4 rebounds per contest.

Becker averaged 3.1 rebounds, 1.2 blocks per game, 0.6 steals and 1.7 assists per game to be named to the All-Defensive Team. Becker also contributed offensively, averaging 6.4 points per game during the UMAC.

Kraemer moved to point guard this season and averaged 5.9 points per game and led the team with 72 assists. Her 72 assists are ninth all-time for a single season.
